hey to all j1s. now that there will be no more trainings for the remainder of the holidays, please please please continue training okay! don't want you guys to spend like the whole month of january next year trying to regain your bowling feel. time can't be wasted! haha.

anyway, 3 more weeks to school. damn. oh well, hope you guys have started on your holiday homework. haha! okay sorry for reminding you. but yes, studies important also okay!

HEY SENIORS!

Now it's my turn to thank you guys! I'm glad you did have fun during the chalet. It was my first time planning for such an occasion. Pardon me for any flaws! Haha! Yep, we juniors had great fun from the first day till the last day! Totally! And i agree with Zen, that it was reminiscent to the KL trip! It's always great to bond with you seniors. Because it's times like these, where we can become our crappiest, craziest and high-est selves! haha. Like during the 2nd night in our room. We all went super high especially Weikang and me! we were like burping and all hahaha. And not to forget the taboo session and the time we played bluff and heart attack on the 1st night. I'll never ever forget these man! These will be great additions to my memory book of my time in Saintsbowling!

When I look back at this year, I feel that we've definitely had great and best fun. Well this is probably a reason for this year passing so quickly because time flies when you're having fun. Haha corny it seems, but it's really true! I wish time passed slower during the KL trip, our PT sessions, our trainings for A div, A div itself, our outings and of course this recent chalet! Oh well, we will still remain as a family even after you guys take your leave. Maybe when we become real aunties and uncles in the many years to come, we will all be bowling kakis! And our kids will all be in Saintsbowling, taking over us! Haha that'll be the coolest thing ever!

Well, here's a short time-line of the highlights of this year. First, it was the KL trip! We bonded the most during this trip and us juniors would like to thank you seniors, because if not for you guys, it would not have been such a memorable and a successful one. Before the trip, we were still quite reserved to our various cliques and were less open. During the trip, we saw our real selves! I'm sure you guys didn't expect me to be crazy right? I think i was kinda quiet before the trip. I'll remember the 2lies1truth game the most! Really the moment this year where i laughed the hardest and most! the charades(did i spell it correctly?) game too! I remember that i had to act like Jennifer Lopez! Haha. Some of us came back to singapore with firmer abs or even a 6-pack! And i had such great fun that i even forgot about my jeans! I left it at the hotel wardrobe. Haha. Oh well luckily my uncle living there helped me retrieve it. No worries! Okay i'm digressing. PT's next!

Now, we were already a family! Smiling everytime we were together. And we bonded even more as a team during our PT sessions! Going high and all at the basketball court was now a norm. Playing floorball with 2 sticks! 1 for hitting, 1 for throwing. Remember? We looked like we were deprived or something. And Anuaar slipping and falling on his butt. I'll never forget that. It sent me to the ground in laughter. The sound was like PIAK! Haha.

Then came A div. We prepared ourselves mentally and physically as well as bonded even more during trainings! And you seniors made us look even more forward to training. Remember the crazy stuff we did like dancing at the foulline? Glenn doing his poledance and ballet, Lionel doing his chicken dance? Haha. And during A div itself, the tension level was at maximum! This time we had very tough competition and i guess it was our team bond which gave us the slight edge, and led us to our 3rd consecutive victory. Well we J1s underperformed though, but we won't disappoint next year! We didn't have much supporters but so what? We as a team was enough, with Anuaar's shouting being louder than maybe 2131431412 supporters of other schools combined. Haha! I'll never ever forget the shoutings, cheerings, screamings and most importantly, strikings and sparings! And GIRLYMANNNNN! Woooo i still know the lyrics okay.

As A div drew to a close, we then began to ponder, "What would life be like now?" . There was this emptiness during trainings. It felt awkward like there was something missing.

To all seniors, we'd like to thank you guys for everything. Our year would have been super empty and less vibrant if not for you guys. And as you take your leave, we all wish you the best in whatever you do. And like when when people read books or watch movies, there will always be a favourite chapter or episode. We hope this year is one of your favourite, if not your favourite chapter! It's not the end though, we will still see each other definitely!

Don't stop bowling too okay? Haha feel free to join us during our trainings as well! You are most welcome :D

Hey Juniors!

Sorry for being incoherent during my speech at the chalet, didnt really prepare it well and with 30 pairs of eyes on me I felt a lil shy hahaha sorry. Anyways! I hope you guys will keep this blog alive and kicking. Anybody can post, so just go ahead and blog about anything you'd like, such as details for activities, trainings, as well as competition dates (PLEASE POST YOUR A DIV SQUAD TIMINGS FOR NEXT YEAR SO WE CAN COME DOWN TO COME RAH-RAH YOU GUYS ON (: ) esp if the details for a page of SMS is too long. And it will be great too if you guys motivate each other along as well (: Or even just blog whatever you like la, like whatever gossip that's going on so we nosey seniors can find out what you juniors are up to. Teehee! Photos as well! Haha last year our seniors (the J3s) posted up prom pics so I guess we'll do the same this year. The chalet was fun (: Food was good, the chefs were wonderful so CLAPCLAP! :D Thanks for planning and holding the farewell for us, you guys, especially to the Captains Clara and Brandon. Haha I thought the most fun was when the team just hung out together to play Taboo and basically just LAUGHEDANDLAUGHEDANDLAUGHED which was certainly reminiscent to our KL trip this year (: I'm sure we all will never forget that trip. I dont think we've ever laughed so much or so hard in a space of 3 days. Hahaha. And if you were in the first bedroom during the first night when we played cards, twas da funniest when Calvin was around. For those who werent there, he was damn damn hilarious. We were playing Bluff and I think Calvin only learnt it there and then. When he suspected somebody of bluffing, he went, "Eh I think he CHEAT!" Hahaha okay maybe tis not that funny here but the response should have been like, "BLUFF!!!" or sth but he said "HE CHEAT! HE CHEAT!" Hahaha. Then we were playing Daidee I think. Brandon put a King card down then Calvin put a Queen. Then I think there was some mix-up or what then he said innocently, "Brandon is the King what, then I'm the Queen." HAHAHA OMG. We just exploded into laughter! Lols. I will miss that man.

Being in Saints Bowling was really a great great great experience of my life. Really. I dont think any other team will match up to the Saints Bowling experience. I will certainly be thinking of Saints Bowling if I bowl again in Uni when in a new team. We've been really close with our seniors and learnt a lot from them, and recently we had you guys under our wings not only as juniors, teammates or friends but as a family (: I'll never forget that tagline of our KL trip - We came as friends and left as a family (: It will forever be ingrained in my bank of memories man. You guys are really the funniest, funnest, friendliest bunch of juniors any seniors can have. It's really great to watch you guys bond from Day One till now (: We watch as proud parents man. Haha. (No wonder we're the aunties and uncles and fathers and mothers of some of you guys (: )

I feel that we seniors have grown a lot over the past 2 years. Both physically and mentally (haha for physically, look at the photos in this blog of us in KL trip 2006. I think I look weird. Hahahaha!). Our batch really went through a lot together, from honing and improving our bowling talents, accepted each other's differences along the way and managed to sustain ourselves even when our seniors left. I really do hope that you guys will manage to sustain yourselves and continue to pass on the Saints Bowling team spirit down to your own juniors. and continue our customs (our cheers, building that special family bond, always happening 'PT' sessions, etc). Remember to FOCUS as your new captains have proposed to you guys. I really think it'd help, though we didnt exactly had that for our batch. Do SAJC proud (: Be ruthless in training, make full use of the time, bond with your teammates at the same time too, and be ruthless during competition too except with sportmanship. That is really important okay, guys, I'm sure we've learnt that this year from other JCs (remember to tell that to your supporters next year too!). And keep up with the teambonding activities and join them, guys! The strong bond that we possess as a team is what makes us different from other teams and also the winning formula. We cry instead of feel angry when we lose and we comfort those who feel down. Oh and do make use of Uncle Adam, guys! Haha. He's everrrrrrrready to help man. I think we're really lucky to have him. He's not just our coach but a surrogate father/friend whom you can poke fun with. Hahaha. Better luck next time with the cake! (x

Okay ah! Just give us a ring if you all wna hang out, da girls are especially FREEEEE till we go Uni (hopefully we do :S ) next year while most of the guys will only be going into NS in April. Any problem, we'll still be here for you guys (:

Oh and if anybody needs notes from us, FEEL FREEEEE TO ASK! Cos we've ended our A's already, may throw them away if you dont grab them from us cos some of us may be too happy and joyous that we may burn/shred/tear/spit/abuse/vandalise/yougettheidea to our notes/textbooks. If anything happens to your GCs you've backup-just ask us. Haha. So yep! Lelong lelong!

We'll be dining at Hanabi Japanese Restaurant and it'll be a Japanese ala carte buffet. The price is stated at $26+++ but I think all of you can expect to pay within the $32 - $34 range.

To travel there, the most convenient way would be to take a train down to City Hall MRT and subsequently walk to the location. As you can see from the map, it is just a road away from Bras Basah Complex and the back of Raffles Hotel. So it should be quite easy to locate.

I understand some of you will be unable to make it because of school events. Sorry guys but I really cannot help the situation given that we cannot put this back any longer already as it is already approaching the end of July and reservations have already been made. We'll try to smuggle soft shell crab for those of you alrights?

So once again, please reach the location by 11.30 to 11.45am and come with an empty stomach! I heard the variety is quite large so it should be quite fun to try all the various foods present.

Oh ya, and I noe some of you might feel the pressure of having to tell your friends who may mean well but just have to ask about your bowling scores to your dismay. I share with you a story k?

There was a boy who did very badly for his 'O' level results. He got 31 points! No face to see ppl. But ppl who he knew just had to ask that question, sometimes as a way of making conversation. It was hard for this boy, especially since he had an added stress of deciding where to go from here. So he couldn't answer the question about his results because he didn't noe the answer to the next question after that. That boy's name is Vincent. =)

I understand it can be hard to be bombarded with questions about your performance. And for that moment itself it seemed as though you were worth only what your performance measured up to. Well that's not true. Because I did badly then, but I ended up getting third place in my cohort for my diploma. So believe in yourself, no matter what others may think of you. Or what you think others may think of you. =)

My oh my, what a day it's been.. I must say it's a real eye-opener. 'A' Div competition feels really different. The atmosphere is so electrifying you can almost light a bulb with your finger. Haha..

I can still feel the effects of that atmosphere, mostly in my throat. =)

I agree with Yew Liang!! For the coolest time ever! You only get to play 'A' Div that many times in your life. Just letting loose and living in the experience is the way to go I say. The title's important of course, but not without allowing the experience to give you some lesson to take home. Ask the J3s.. Ask them what they miss about A Div..

I wanna really take this time to commend the team on the spirit of cheering. =) Keep it up. I noticed some of you really improved your game when you know you are cheered for. That's the way it should go. We all need a reason to fight. When we reach the end of ourselves, we find more reason in fighting for a shared victory.

All in, it's been a really good experience, the way I see it. Don't let your failures get you down ya Saints? Let it be a stepping stone to success!

Hey hey, look who's here!! Haha.. Thanks Zen for letting me know about this blog. Wonder who started it.. Haven't had time to explore it yet.. Well I must say this.. This place needs a revamp! Haha.. If it's looking to buzz with activity again, it'll need a revamp! Can I please volunteer to do up a simple design for you guys?? And add in a few widgets like flickr tab so you guys can upload and access pics? Heehee.. It's my pet interest, graphic design, although I'm not very pro at it..

*er hem* Anyway, this post is not about me. It's about you guys!! Wanna take this time to thank you all for being so fun, approachable and thus making my job the coolest job around. xD It's been a joy just going around and chatting up with various individuals. I had thought it'd be hard to break in to a group that already established strong relationships among themselves, compared to situations where you get to know people who do not know anyone themselves. Still, you guys are fine la, at least you all accommodate me. =) I don't expect to be best buddies with you guys ya noe.. Just someone who's able to listen and understand..

So after many months of being attached here I gotta say I really admire your dedication to bowling. Note that I will be addressing you guys as a whole ok? Cos it's a public blog; don't want to get too personal here.. Haha.. But in each one of you I can see you probably feel like how I felt back then in school.. I found a clearer purpose and more motivation to put more effort in my CCA than my schoolwork.. =) I think it's already very good that you guys still share with me your concerns about test performance in your various subjects (I am aware I have not gotten around to talking to everyone in depth yet, but I guess that takes time.. I'm working at it ya?)..

Well it seems like I have so much to say! Sorry sorry haha. I really meant to just come in to encourage you guys for the upcoming competition. I wanna say I have the utmost confidence that you guys would fare well. I'm no pro bowler, but I know pro bowlers when I see them. =) And all of you have standard ok!! But most of all, it's the spirit that stands out the most. Keep up the cheering dudes and dudettes!! It takes your minds off your mistakes and helps you guys to focus your vision on the strike line. I noe some of you think you're off season ( as in off form). Take heart! Just keep bowling and clock up the competition experience.. I think it's already pretty awesome you get to be in the team. It means people believe in you and see you up ok.. I never managed to get into a team back in school. Not that I tried anyway.. Haha.. So to every Saints Bowler out there, wherever you think you are in terms of performance, however intimidating you think the unpredictable lane may be, know this. You are not here by chance!! Make use of your talents well my friends. It's always good to noe there's room for improvement. And that's the best goal to work towards. Do your best, to God leave the rest. =)

The last time I was doubles partners with her was in Sec 2's C Div when we were in KC, when we hardly knew each other.

yes certainly vic. that's one of our priorities now - community involvement projects.

but to be honest we also haven't really done much still searching for ideas. anyone with any ideas for CIP please come forward to zen or me to tell us.

The past two days were great. i certainly hope the J1s enjoyed their first tournament under the name Saints Bowling was immensely enjoyable (wait im sure it was). Congrats to all who won something - in particular i must commend the j1 guys for bowling great in the team event. a team average of 190 certainly deserves a standing ovation for a team that has only been together for a couple of months.

and of course not to forget the cheering squad. haha the "kang kang" and "bra bra"s were highly amusing and that "PPP" was just wah lau crazy la. it was certainly great motivation for all of us.

ok someone owes me 4 weeks of school. and with that i will see all of you soon. adios!

And oh for the new JC1s, college life is a lot different from what it was like in secondary school and i don't mean only academically!
There will be times when you feel that you have so much to handle that you want to break down or give up, my advice is, DON'T!
Talk to someone about it, makes you feel a hell lot better.
After the honeymood period in first three months, settling down to full time lectures and tutorials were a little hard.
Yes yes, i understand. I skipped enough math =X lectures to know that hanging out at vivo or ps is more worth it.
You must have your share of fun but remember to study okay!

Today i was at a leadership training course and the faciltator asked me,
"Do you know the difference between a GROUP and a TEAM?"
I was stunned for a while until i heard an answer from another friend,
Nothing unusual but i would love to share.

"GROUP is but merely putting people together and giving themselves a name, but a TEAM is when everyone works together, picking up strengths and weaknesses of others to work towards a common goal."

(I modified it a little so it sounds more politically correct.)
But it really hit me hard and i guess it would be food for thought for some interested souls here.
So, is saints bowling a group or a team?
Merely declaring you guys are a team is not enough,
You''ve got to prove it.
I SOUND LIKE I AM GOING TO START A LECTURE SOON BUT HAVE NO FEAR, I WILL SO NOT DO THAT.

That's all i could think of to share with you today.

I shouldn't be blogging right now because i have work at 9.30am (!!!!) later but guess i could deal with lesser sleep to share some trip experience with the jc2s and jc1 and those to be!

Current JC2s, remember when you guys first came into the team?
Everyone was a stranger, family is the last thing we wanted to call ourselves THEN.
The SJI boys *ahem* were so cliquish (spellcheck) that they could only bowl amongst themselves or they would die than bowl with girls on the same pair of lanes.
(Okay, i exaggerate a little, but the actions remind me of primary 5 children who refuse to hold hands in a game.)
I digressed.
The situation was so terrible that we had to break the boys up and assigned lanes to them so everyone was forced to leave their comfort zone and bond with others instead.
I know it must have been terribly awful and somewhere along the line you guys have probably cursed and swear at david and i for our 'reckless' decisions, but trust me, it was worth it.

After a few training, i remembered things got better but the real peak period was the trip.
It was the bomb and a BLAST!
We had games like polar bear and hunter, angel and mortal and the name game (like the one where we had to use everyone's name to form a story), i had a good workout of jaws and abs from that game.
Silly but it was all fun.Aside from the fun, training and competing with the youth teams were also experiences to keep.
PS: JC2s if you intend to bring books up to study, may i suggest only bring 1 - 3 MAX to study because you will not be able to study when you are so immerse in the fun. TRUST ME, it's tested and proven on yours truly, and other seniors will definitely nod in agreement.
But that doesn't mean you don't study! BT is important okayy.
College is about juggling both anyway.

hello peeps!

hopefully the post-o lvl results trauma has settled in. if it hasn't then there's always vincent the mentor to counsel you guys.

anyways just reflecting on wad zen said its great news to see everyone managing to hit the cut off. but then somehow they aren't fabulous and although we're not like library club where everyone gets 70 something (or even 80 points), we still needa show the world that bowlers can study man! so j1s be prepared to put in lots of work from now on!

this is to all of you reading this:

please give blood and help save some lives by donating blood on tuesday in sch ya. it's really for a worthy cause and 3 mths later u guys can still continue to donate blood by going down to the bloodbank at outram park there.

and speaking of a worthy cause that reminds me of cip! and i think even chen wei lian can see that we have ZERO cip and miraculously we have managed to survive through last year but obviously this has to change. any ideas for any cip programmes or anything like that? plz suggest to me yeah. im sure many of u dun wanna stand in the hot orchard sun asking pple to donate unused coins into tin boxes right.

and oh yeah. bowlers of the saints origin please blog more! anything oso can. and by any means theres so much u can write on. how u had to stand next to a guy with damn jia lat BO on the bus home... how u got scolded by ms k or mrs kang... how u climbed out of the gate just to get out of school early.. blah blah. see? so if u dunno the pw and username plz ask zen or me and get this blog moving again!

anyways. man u is gonna win charlton tonight - i hope. it's now the 62nd min and park scored giving the devils a 1-0 lead.

it's the new year and it's time for training to begin. the jc1s have finished orientation while the jc2s have hopefully finished their holiday hw so we can now have a trng session wif no worries. so its 3.30pm at mt faber this coming wed yeah.

there will be a bus so plz be at the foyer by 2.50pm.

for the jc2s please wear a blue top for training while the jc1s please wear a saints based t-shirt which im sure u all will have a few of right now.

as of currently trainings will be on weds and sats. timings will be confirmed as the particular training date nears. may i stress that all of you please be PUNCTUAL for training. and by being punctual i mean 15 mins before the announced timing your physical being should be stationed within the grounds of the alley already and not somewhere taking a cab towards telok blangah. so that we can begin warm ups and den start bowling on time.

nxt up is alumni bowling. it is compulsory - 19th january which is a friday at 7.30pm at victors superbowl. cost is at $30 for six games of bowling. hope to get your very enthusiastic response for its gonna be one fun night!

So, this is the first post of 2007:

2006 has been a ride of roller coaster for saintsbowling.
I remember having to fight a (friendly) battle with RJC over many of our juniors (now seniors) on the team,
How we bit our nails and pray that their DSA would be successful and be a part of the saints family.
God has also been kind to us blessing us both gold and silver in the A Division 2006,
And many of our bowlers went on to be part of the combined school team.

Many friendships were forged in 2006 during the endless chalets and camps that brought us together as one team.
As the year comes to a close,
I certainly hope that the seniors continue to bring the spirit with them for the new saints to come.

U might or might not have hard but I am organising a SAJC Alumni Bowling Tournament Below are the details: DATE 19th JAN 2007 (FRI), VENUE: VICTR'S SUPERBOWL, COST: S$30/- Per Person(Subjected to changes, only lesser dun worry), ATTIRE: Prefably Jersey of the particular batch, FORMAT OF PLAY: 6 Games Individual for Guys & Girls separately, & the top 4 Guys & Girls will proceed to Stepladders, 4th, 3rd, 2nd Placed bowlers will bowl a game & the bowler with the highest score will advance to meet the top seed in a 1 Game Roll-Off to determine the Winner. CHALLENGE TROPHY: There will be a Challenge Trophy awarded to the best performing batch, by tabulating the total pinfals of the Top 3 guys & Top 2 Girls from each batch. The bach with the highest total pinfall will be the winner of the Challenge Trophy.

This is a little late but I'd really wanna thank ALL OF YOU LOVELY, LOVED SENIORS for coming to the Farewell (:
I'd like to especially thank Stephanie for helping us book the chalet,
the ex-captains for spreading the message,
and of course, for all of your patience when we were hiding in the room doing the secret, long-awaited PowerPoint heh.
Yep, hope the laohong cookies werent too bad.
They werent just made by girls, Glenn even had a hand in it haha.

Yeah I guess we kind of made the guys have a hand in the creative stuff as well,
which was anciently stereotyped that only girls can do such stuff aye?!
The big gigantic 3kg chocolate cake was sponsored by Ms Wong, btw.
I got a call from her the night before the chalet and she personally delivered to my house to bring it to the Farewell since she couldnt make it.
That's really nice of her right (:

Thank God there were clear skies over Sentosa that day and that nobody's injured!
My team won! Hehe.
Hmm actually now I feel quite bad for the 2nd and 3rd teams cos we should have given consolation prizes.
Our budget wasnt that high that's why we didnt really think about consolation prizes :S
But I hope that all of you, even though you didnt win, there was something you took away from the experience.
Such as getting to know your juniors/seniors/teachers better (:
Gelling as a team towards A Div will be a breeze then!
Pray that their O Level scores will be enough to allow them to come in.

Woooooooot!
Our efforts paid off, guys!
Open House was a success! =D
Lovely banners (both banners looked good but this year's one was more colourful and looks cuter with the island theme hehe),
the bowling game (where we used those small roundish kinds of coconuts kindly bought by Nicole to hit those 1.5L bottles down. They were painted to look like tiki Saints.),
prizes (which were blue coloured files, but we didnt manage to award to everyone who tried out cos they didnt get much strikes/spares),
the souvenirs (blue-and-white 'Saints Bowling' arm bands and stickers)
& of course, we managed to recruit over 20+ girls and guys for next year (:

For those who came to help/have left their creative marks on the banner/prizes/pins (people like Steiner who's now in Soccer as well as Yi Quan who should have been mugging for his A's) & also to Clara who came down to help us out at our booth,
we appreciate it!
Hope next year's Open House would be as successful as this year's (:

In the meantime, our this year's banner will be permanently put up at one of the pillars in front of the caf.
(Okay, we're hoping it will be permanent. Clara from the SC will help us to check whether it's allowed.)

Open House 2006: D' Bowling Adventura

and yes this yr's open house even has a theme!

well for the j1s who missed today morning's meeting here's a small recap:

Open House will be on this Saturday 14th October from 9am to 4pm.

There will be two shifts manning the bowling booth on saturday itself:
- Morning Shift (9am - 12.30pm): Elis Anuuar Sherlene Regina Leonard
- Afternoon Shift (12.30pm - 4pm): Edwin HoYun Darryl Nicholas

meanwhile the exco will have to be stationed there the entire day. but nevertheless i hope most of you i free can actually stay for the entire open house period coz its gonna be lots of fun and im sure u all don't wanna miss out on any of it.

Attire that day is as follows:
- Guys: Maroon polo shirt with school pants
- Girls: White polo shirt with shorts

We will be designing a new banner this year and it really is quite pretty but then it is rather big (3m long) so we'll need help with the painting of the banner.

Therefore we'll be continuing the painting of the banner on thursday after today's session where quite a gd amount of work was completed. plz come down if possible and chip in as much as u can. it'll be quite fun to see the final product too...

plz remember to bring one 1.5 litre bottle each (the cocacola or 100plus kind, not the mineral water kind) by tuesday or wednesday. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. we really need it soon so that we can start working on it.

this next part is probably the most important part of the whole meeting.

about open house that is. (not the exams). well ultimately the aim of having open house is not the fancy banners and the souvenirs and the games and all but of course it is to attract o lvl students to come to our sch. and for us we needa try our best to get whoever it may be as long as they're interested in bowling to come to our booth where we can talk to them and blah blah u know the usual routine.

but the important thing is getting them to come. so please do your VERY BEST to tell your beloved juniors from your alma mater to COME DOWN ON 14TH OCTOBER!!! promote promote. and really help to spread the word around. j2s too plz help out yeah..

SO, r we all prepared? haha. i really dread seeing books now and i m totally slacking away. i m watching man u vs tottenham match now to relieve stress after 6 hrs of tuition today. ok i shall not tok abt studies anymore.

i have not been bowling so little like once a wk onli and everything abt my bowling is bad now. haizz. how i wish we could b back to the times whr i train 7 times a wk, tts so much betta den mugging evryday.

any jay fans out thr? his new album is really a disappointment. i tik many would agree wif me. haha. but not to worry, if u ppl r in nid of nice chinese music to brighten ur day up, queen of chinese pop music, stefanie sun, will b releasing her compilation album with 2 new tracks at the end of this month as her departing album wif warner music. she will b joining emi capitol on sept 15 to join dancing diva, jolin tsai. for those interested, her new song titled, yu tian(rainy day), will b played on yes 933 on the 18th sept ard evening time. lol

So girls don't have to feel bad being size 6.
After all, the guys who went to watch it didn't find the fashion in any bit tasteful,
While i was drooling ~~and making squealing noises~~ in the theatre even though there were no hot guys.
I'm telling you it is a fantastic show and everyone should catch it!
Even the guys said it was not bad.
But girls - the fashion is worth the $8. (:

why is the blog getting so dead again? it used to b filled wif many posts from ms aiyo i tell u ah, now tt she has decided to mug, dis blog will not survive for long. stick insect captain, can u pls set a quota 4 all ur jc1 that evry 1 nid to blog at least once per wk, if not they will hav to pay a fine of $5 each time which will be contributed to the pathetic bowling funds that is left wif only 80 cents. though a donation of $4 was generously given last nite to our newly appointed and poor treasurer. ok i shall try tok many nonsense in dis post to make my entry the longest ever in the history of saints bowling blog. hope u ppl will appreciate my effort and do read the entire post of mine.

"In the short time since its establishment in 1998, the SAJC Bowling team has already left its mark on the National Schools competition. 1999 was the history-making year when the team achieved it's first ever medal in the competition with the doubles team comprising of Joanne Yang and Michelle Cheam coming in second while the quartet narrowly missed the third spot by a few pins.
Since then our bowling team has learnt from those great experiences and continue to make good progress in the above competition and the National Age-Group (U21) competition as well. Year 2001 was a time of good harvest as shown by the following achievements:

the above text in grey was taken from ~~Jer 14:17-22~~ SAJC website. it is like so outdated. do they nid me to help dem update? do u ppl realise the prize winners r all girls? how come it was a different story for the year 2005 and 2006 as compared to the past? lol. ok la at least the girls still win medals now but of cos the guys r dominating now. haha. i tik 1999 was no longer a history making year and uncle henry has left us for the Singapore Bowling Federation and we now hav uncle adam uncle uncle adam.

OKAY and now i shall do a review of the things happening in saintsbowling for this yr. it was a bittersweet affair as our beloved seniors such as nic, iris, alicia, mel, lee jie, jensen, geri........ left the college while we r ~~cursed~~ blessed wif new juniors like leonard, glenn, edwin, zen, regina, yewliang, darryl.............. do not blame me if ur name is left out as i put the 1st 7 names of each side tt i can tik off. 7 is a lucky number lol. moreover, the names r in random and in no particular order. at 1st, i guess only the dsa juniors feel more comfortable in the team since they already know most of the jc2. however, the jc2 r a bunch of lovely, frenly, crappy, funny, cool.............. (the list goes on) ppl, so evry 1 mingled well and it did not take long to bond the whole team tgt. after the 1st 3 months, the jc1 intake is confirmed and winners r taken in while losers r out and we proceed on wif our kl trip. the journey to ~~the west~~ thr was tiring but it was worthwhile. we r showered wif loads of fun and bitching sessions as we showcase saintsbowling to the malaysian bowlers. the frenly match was an equal fight and it was a great experience 4 all of us. it was a short 4 days 3nites trip and we had to go back to sg as the jc2 had to prepare for our ~~mental~~ block test 1. and on our trip back, all of us nid to sing in front of evry1 too. remember?

in april, some of us went to the asian schools and i bet training sessions was boring w/o us. right? haha. after we were back, it was time 4 all of us to train seriously for our nationals. our hardwork was paid off as i we dominated the guys division and ppl commented that our reserves bowlers r better than their 1st team bowlers. haha. the gals division did well to finish 2nd, ms aiyo i tell u ah was sorry that she bowled a 130 avr for day 1 if not we would hav create history. haha. ok we nv blame u though. it was quite sad 4 many of us when the tournament comes to an end, it was time to move on 4 all of us though which is to STUDY. lol

the june holidays was next and all of us r forced to mug. however some of us still went to bowl the national age grp and managed to clinch medals. well done ~~guys only~~ every1. following tt, it was our miserable block test 2. ppl like duwane and tuck foong did extremely well while the others should not b mentioned at all. haha. the jc1 den continue to train w/o ur powerhse seniors. in august, most of the saints bowlers attended the rapture tgt and it was served as a session of team bonding. it was a great nite and some underaged idiots sneaked into DXO. duno who sia.

time passed so fast and b4 we realise it, now is already sept. the jc2 r in the middle of prelims while jc1 r also starting to prepare 4 promos. no more bowling, no more mahjong, no more outings............................ but more studying sessions. haha. yest a few of the jc2 and jc1 was studying in school and went out for dinner tgt. ok i hav more or less finish the review 4 the yr.
evry1 we should study hard and dominate like a div in our studies.

yay colours!! haha... oh wells hiii anyways here to jus say sme stuff bout trng today. man it was weird seeing so little ppl bowlin! cause i missed e webs trng so todays trng was my first tym without e J2s *ugh* ... n smehow i miss them terriblyyy =( it was so mini trng and for e first tym im bowling beside J1 guys n nt e J2 girls anymore n seriously tt was abit weird. usually we wood cross lanes to discuss current issues bout e world (yeaaa...go ahead n believe me) n hw poverty affects GNP.WadeVaa
so then bowled two steps for practically 1hr30mins? shld b smewhere there la... then moved on to four steps. was quite a "hiong/xiong" trng, hope i lost sme weight haha. had sme new faces with us too!! haha 3 SJI boys and 1 girl. din manage to tok to any of them but think they r quite gd bowlers +)

on a more serious note, the bowling lunch will be held next saturday, 15th july. i'm still trying to get a decent restaurant with cheap and good food.

haha damn czech just lost 2-0. to ghana. (anione lost money?) but the match was superb. still its argentina all the way!

well today was the climatic ending to the national age group championships with all the masters events taking place... and boy did many saints make masters.

and congrats to yiquan for bowling a stunning series - something like a 214 avg? yar its superb bowling and really must be unlucky not to get the gold.

so i think u all can see from the previous post the brilliant winnings that many saints got. yep and for now i think that rounds up our bowling season. and yet another successful one it was! and from balls its now to books and hoho are we not prepared or wad... lolx...

well it seems that only girls are blogging. haha i shall break that now. guys blog more!

so just a random post...

this time last yr, i rmbr i was at victors bowling southzone for sji, and we nicely lost to sajc. hahaha subsequently after that i was sitting at the steps and just talking cock when vic came and asked me bout my choice of jc...

well it was a result of the whole waffles jc thingie. im sure some of the seniors will remember...

we eventually chatted over chicken rice at the coffeeshop nearby and i must admit it was quite convincing. haha even choon hua was roped in. lol damn funny.

well that must explain why im here. and i nvr regretted a single bit of it. (look at the blue bar on top of your screen.) coz saints bowling rawks my socks.

seems like we are all deprived of bowling at the moment. ohwell study hard folks! its gonna require the same amount of concentration we showed on the lanes to be put in our books too.

To the team that matters the most;

The time that we all waited eagerly upon for. The competition that sealed our fate. The one we had all worked towards. We went into A divisions and blazed the lanes. And so we emerged - VICTORIOUS.

How could we ever forget our very tradition, our source of encouragement - UP SAINTS!

These were the people who made everything possible, who cared for one another. These were the ones who were good sportsmen, have the passion for bowling and the desire to win. These were the ones who made it possible, who bowled for saintsbowling. And there were those who endless cheered for us. (what can we do without them?)

So we went for another round of South Zone and this time, we did ourselves proud. We came in both 1st and 2nd for both the boys and girls. (Did i tell you saints bowling rocks?)

This is the ex-co who made my life fulfilling and made saintsbowling memorable: I know sometimes we drive each other up the wall and we really want to wring each other's neck. But despite all that, these were the people who made things work. They taught my valuable life lessons i will always keep with me.

So here's to a team that matters and one that i will always treasure! (:

ahas. a new entry to this almost stale blog. i only see vic posting. where have e others gone? anyway, i miss saints bowling a lot! ahhh. suffering from saintsbowling withdrawal symptoms. hahas.

adiv came and went so fast. i woke up on saturday morning feeling weird that theres no training. i didnt know how to spend my saturday, because most saturdays are spent training and lunch with the girls and sometimes the rest of the team. and now, theres no training, theres no girls to talk to and joke arnd with. feel a bit lost huh. sad stuff. =( somehow, the kl trip seemed like it ended only yesterday. hahas. i guess time really passes so quickly. too quick for me to believe.

now that there are no trainings, the j2s are left with their books and notes. oh no i cant imagine myself with just books and notes. but anyway a reminder to all j2s to mug hard! hahas. j1s too for promos and train hard oso! and oh yes, i agree we shld have a stayover just like last yr!

So today ~~was~~ saturday.
I don't get to dread waking up early,
I don't get to dread being late for training.
Because there won't be any training for me anymore. ):
I'm so sad i can cry a river.

But it feels weird not having to wake up early for training anymore,
It feels weird that i won't get suan for being late anymore.
It's so hard to believe it has come to an end for me.
I don't know when will be the next time i ever touch a bowling ball.

Or even whine about throwing bad balls because i simply won't get too anymore.
It is such a shame we have to end A Division,
And get down to studying.
Apparently, i think the only ones who appreciate saintsbowling is just us and our fellow classmates.

Orh my god.
This is like the third time i am typing the same entry,
I supposed i was fouled so many times to make this perfect so here it goes.

I must say we have done well in many of the sports arena this year and i am really proud of TEAM SAJC.

I could literally hear only myself screaming.

As each day of the competition draws nearer, i see its ends inevitably near too. I had always thought to myself: Will i miss saints bowling? What will happen when i am gone? Will i remember the lessons learnt, the friendship forged? Will it just become yet another memory? Or will be always be in me? I hate to have to see the end, but i am glad i was once a part of this prestigious saints bowling family. I am thankful to be captain and the many many life long friends i have made this years in my JC life. It will all come to an end very soon. I know i will cry. But its all for a good cause, you all really mean the world to me and i love you guys, i do! i really do!

Everyone knows that we are aiming for gold for boys as well as girls. Although this is not the best that we can do, guess what? WE ARE BACK IN OUR PLACE!! last year we got guys first and girls second, and currently after the singles, our guys are still first and our girls are still second!

and now, guess who is being put back to their place? who got their bloated heads smashed and who got their asses kicked? SOME school last year got second for guys and first for girls, now become guys second, girls third. If anyone thinks that i am trying to haolian here, please think again, who started it first? lol. Hmmm i shan't comment anymore.

Anyway, my fellow team members, i think we have done relatively well today. Although only yq and steph managed to get medals, it doesn't mean that we have done badly. Look at our fire support team, marvellous eh. heh. Hopefully all the guys in top 10 can maintain and those below can squeeze into top ten too! Hopefully our girls can do better and may us get 2 golds this year!

hey peeps, ppl last yr is last qualifyer to enter masters in national schools wat, so look whose head is more bloated by blogging negative stuff on us. it has showed us that ppl are sore losers after losing their hockey and rugby to team sajc and now she has to resort to flaming saints bowling. we dun even see them ard during our trainings.

honestly, look at the standard of the gals in a div. how high chance do you guys stand? (i m giving an honest viewpt, correct me if i m wrong.) 1stly, is thr any asian schs or national youth gals in thr? sadly to say thr isn't. look at rjc, they have a currently national youth gal and a female national bowler who represented sg at the world cup. look at our own sa team. we have victoria as our ex national youth bowler, steph as ex national youth as well as asian schs bowlers and clara as our current national youth. if rj and sa nv even dare tok big, since when its your's turn to?
